To all of my readers, Kaitlin, Kaitlin’s friends, family and anyone who may come across this blog:

Jesus says to us:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Yesterday I woke up to some of the saddest news a best friend could ever expect to hear. My best friend Kaitlin was in a serious car accident resulting in brain trauma, Currently she is in a coma and in the ICU at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO. The accident happened as Kaitlin was driving back to her apartment in Arkansas after a her flight home was cancelled in Branson, MO.

Please pray for Kaitlin’s continued healing and for her body to continue to regain strength. Pray for the doctors to have understanding and wisdom and for her parents friends and family to find comfort in Jesus, for He is the only true comforter we have.

In this midst of the unknowns and the what ifs and the worries and fears, there is one constant and that is Jesus. Jesus is my strength when I am weak, my joy in the midst of despair, my peace in turmoil. He is sustaining us and we wait to hear news about Kaitlin, and even more he is sustaining Kaitlin right now. So I keep praying, with hope and faith that Jesus will intercede. That God will provide a miracle for someone who is truly a miracle to me.

In His love,

Stacey

Keeping Kaitin and her family in my prayers. May God envelope each of them in His loving embrace giving them His own peace and comfort. My family will be praying for them in the hard days ahead. In hope and love the Gage family.
