We are better together

“Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.” (Proverbs 27:9)

For the first time in a long time, I am feeling inspired to write. To share my thoughts without hesitation and to smile as I stop for a moment to consider the wonder and awe I feel when I think about Jesus. When life gets busy it’s these little moments that quickly rush by my open window without even a passing glance. These whispers from God are so easily missed. Taking time to recognize these whispers was my original intention for this blog. I wanted to share my relationship with God with each of you. As I desire meet God daily and experience His love continually I can’t help but want to write about it. Since I have never been one to hide my feelings, blogging seemed an appropriate outlet to not only share my thoughts or  catalog them to look back on but also encourage others.

Last night, as I was feeling not so inspired, God met me where I was and brought some light to my heart. It’s funny to me how I easily become flustered over the fact that some times I do not “hear” from God. I worry and wonder and consider the notion that maybe we aren’t as close as I think or maybe  I have never heard God. And then he calmly reaches to me and quiets my spirit, always in a way I wasn’t expecting. And last night he used my friends.

I have mentioned before that my friends in San Diego are absolutely wonderful. Not only do they make me  happy and entertained, but also an encouraged, strengthened, smarter, kinder, and better person because I know them. They are courageous, intelligent, compassionate women that continuously pour into each other. Together, we are a constant presence for each other to lean on. We are a tangible representation of God’s love to each other. We celebrate, smile, cry, yell, giggle, snuggle, drink wine, make dinner, throw bachelorette parties, have endless coffee dates and talk …a lot. But more than any of that, we help.

We are advice givers and advice seekers, we learn from each other, we walk side by side each day on the path toward becoming a God-fearing woman, a woman whose heart is hidden in Christ and who lives solely to bring Him glory. The fellowship that I feel with these women inspires me, it compels me to action.  God brought us together and together we are better for His Kingdom.

I love you all 🙂

In His love,

that is so beautiful. I love with God whispers in a quiet voice to me. I can be upset and then turn to Christ and he always is there for me. I amalways amaysed at how he reaches my inner soul. You truely are a child of God and he is blessed by your commitment to him.
