I am continually renewed

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:4-5)

Wow!!! God is so so good! It never ceases to amaze me that each time I feel down, each time I am just starting to feel hopeless, God picks me up and not just gets me back on my feet, but lifts me higher than I could ever imagine. God is constantly teaching me that the more I look to Him for guidance the more my paths will be made straight and clear. My hope in the Lord carries me through each day.

There are two ways I have experienced God and been renewed by his goodness today and yesterday. Side note: If you have called me and talk in the last few days, you understand more fully the energy that I felt was lost from me, don’t worry it’s back and I am am once again full of God’s exuberance and love of life.

Ok.. first of all, I know about a total of 4 people outside of work in San Diego. I came here on God’s calling to work for Amor and knew I would feel comfortable in the office, however, I was unsure where I would fit in this city. If you talked to me in the last few days, I have probably mentioned to you this confusion and loss of spirit I felt as I wrestled with this new experience of not knowing anyone and not being in constant community (shout out to all my DZ sisters I miss like crazy).  So as I have been praying about this and asking God to lead me towards Christian women and community to surround myself with, I have also been praying for a church home where I can grow and also serve.  So last night I visited a community group with Flood Church in San Diego.  And it blew me away. I found a vibrant group of believers who are friendly, wonderfully welcoming and completely passionate about Jesus. Also, I met two girls who have also recently moved to San Diego and also have not many friends. So I got two in one, new friends, great christian community, oh and a renewed sense of energy. So i guess that’s three. 🙂

Secondly, at Amor this morning I had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the founder and CEO Scott Congdon. This guy is awesome! Totally approachable and an incredible visionary. Through my meeting with him (which went more than an hour too long because we both love to talk), I have gained an overwheming enthusiasm for my job.  I love Amor so much and coming here to work was in God’s plan for my life, which is a truth I have known for months, but shown to me in such a new way this morning. Just listening to Scott share how Amor was so perfectly orchestrated by God literally brought tears to my eyes. These things don’t happen by circumstance, or luck or fate or whatever you call it.  Situations align perfectly to show God’s all-knowing character and ultimately for His glory. Scott and Gayla are true examples of what can happen when you say YES! to God no matter where He leads you.

Welcome back joy!

In His love,

Stacey
